Catherine Hawcroft
Catherine leads two lives on both sides of the Irish Sea. Between Friday night and Sunday evening she lives in Northern Ireland where she is a regular fixture on the Belfast performance poetry scene and where all of the poems in this collection have been tested for impact and comprehension on lively audiences. She is one of the organisers of Make Yourself Heard, a monthly open mike poetry event.
Monday to Friday she works for a large corporation, spending much of her working life in London in the guise of a suit-wearing, spreadsheet-manipulating strategist. She is thirty-six and married to a man who doesn't like poetry - making him her test case for her target audience - yet he grudgingly admits to liking hers. She is trying but failing to learn how to paraglide and cook.
